Department of Zoology, mLAC organised a visit for 3rd Semester B.Sc. Zoology students as a part of their laboratory course curriculum on 13th October 2023 from 10.30 am to 4.30 pm at Microscopy and LCMS Facility Division of Biological Sciences, IISc, Bangalore. The visit in microscopy facility started with a brief introduction about the Confocal Microscope Leica Falcon and Andor Bc43 Spinning disk followed by the demo. Then students proceeded to the Electron Microscope Facility, where they were given a small introduction about the Scanning and Transmission Electron Microscope and then a demo on usage of the same instrument. During the second half of the visit, the students went to LCMS Facility where they were given a brief introduction on both LCMS and GCMS followed by a demo on those same instruments. In total 38 3rd Semester BSc Zoology went for the visit.
