• Played a major role in setting up of the Microbiology department in the year 1999 at Maharani Lakshmi Ammanni College for Women, Bangalore and has taught Microbiology for over 6 years.
• Guiding students for various projects under CPE grants (for Basic Science Research) and Star programme (DBT grants).
• Actively taken part in preparing charts and lab manuals for student use as per PUC and Degree syllabus.
•  Has attended various conferences/seminars/workshops
•  Short term training course on ‘Field Identification of Important Timbers’from 16th -20th of November 2009 organised by Institute of Wood Science and Technology, Bangalore.
•  Accompanied students of the final year BSc for plant collection to Ooty during 1999 and to Coorg during 2000.
•  Led the students of Botany and Microbiology to visit National Tuberculosis Institute , Bangalore Dairy, FRLHT- Bangalore, ISI- Bangalore, IWST- Bangalore, CiMAP, FRLHT, etc.
•  Guided students to take up projects in various organizations like R.V.Diagnostic lab, Medinova, K.C. General Hospital, JIVAS, Diacon, Kidwai institute, IWST, etc.
• Core committee member for UGC sponsored 2 day state level seminar on “Recent Trends in Botany and Medical Microbiology” in association with KSCST on 27th and 28th Sept 2010.
