Fostering Intellectual Wealth

research

Over the past decade, Maharani Lakshmi Ammanni College for Women (mLAC) has taken meticulous, highly strategic steps to build deep reservoirs of intellectual wealth and academic excellence. Research has always been a paramount priority for our institution, and our commitment to innovation has only amplified since achieving our Autonomous status.

Today, our Research Centre stands as a hub of scientific and academic inquiry, proudly approved and recognized by premier national bodies, including the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), the Department of Science & Technology (DST), the University Grants Commission (UGC), and the Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology (KSCST).

Infrastructure & Growth

This prestigious autonomous standing has catalyzed a dramatic rise in high-impact publications, doctoral degree awards, and prestigious grants from national funding agencies. Our researchers are supported by state-of-the-art infrastructure, heavily backed by the DST-FIST program, the DBT-Bioinformatics Facility, and the BiSEP initiative.

To sustain this momentum, the mLAC Research Committee actively mentors our highly experienced faculty. The committee facilitates multidisciplinary research, guides the grant-writing process, and organizes advanced workshops—consistently improving our institutional yield in terms of government grants, scientific innovation, and intellectual property.
