Socio Economic Demographics

In alignment with the Vision and Mission of Maharani Lakshmi Ammanni College for Women (MLAC), the institution is committed to ensuring that no girl student is denied the opportunity to pursue higher education due to economic constraints. A significant proportion of the students enrolled in the college come from financially underprivileged backgrounds. Many of them are also first-generation learners (FGL) in their families, pursuing higher education for the first time.

The college plays a vital role in empowering such students by providing accessible, affordable, and quality education, thereby enabling them to achieve social mobility and contribute meaningfully to society.

SOCIO-ECONOMIC BACKGROUND OF mLAC STUDENTS

(a) A unique feature of MLAC is that a majority of students come from underprivileged socio-economic backgrounds. Their parents are engaged in low-income occupations such as Drivers, Domestic help, daily wages etc., The comparative position are given below:
