The College Sports Club is a dynamic student-led group dedicated to promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship among students. Established with the vision of fostering a healthy and active campus culture, the club serves as a platform for students to engage in a variety of sports, including cricket, netball, kabaddi, handball, throwball, kho-kho, tennis, volleyball, athletics, and indoor games such as chess and carrom.
Purpose:
The primary aim of the Sports Club is to encourage participation in sports and recreational activities, helping students maintain physical and mental well-being.
Key Objectives:
- To organize regular sports events, tournaments, and intercollegiate competitions.
- To identify and nurture sporting talent within the college.
- To promote discipline, leadership, and a spirit of healthy competition.
- To train more students to represent at State, National, University, and International levels.
- To provide ample opportunities for all students to ensure maximum participation.
- To train beginners and enable them to play at University and State levels.
- To modernize the gymnasium for better fitness and physical development.
Activities:
The club conducts weekly training sessions, annual sports meets, fitness workshops, and inter-college tournaments along with friendly matches and participation in university-level championships. Selected students also represent the college at state and national competitions.
Through these initiatives, the Sports Club plays a vital role in enhancing student life, building camaraderie, and celebrating sporting excellence.
