Department of Commerce was started in 1983 with the vision of striving towards continuous academic excellence, having an emphasis on women empowerment and enhancing the prospects of the students in advanced studies and overseas employment. The Department has developed over the past three decades and has transcended all precincts in diverse areas of academic pursuits with the current strength of 1000 students. The Department adopts diverse teaching methodologies to facilitate students to develop an array of skill-sets and social responsibilities, which is vital in Commerce education.

Eligibility

  • Candidate should have a minimum qualification of 10+2 from the Pre-University Education Board/ CBSE/ICSE or any other equivalent examination.
  • Candidate should have secured minimum marks of 55%.
  • For UG program in Commerce, a candidate who has passed the two years Pre-University Examinations conducted by the Karnataka Pre-University Education Board or any other examination considered as equivalent thereto shall be eligible for admission. The candidate should have studied both Business Studies and Accountancy in the qualifying examination.
