Code of Ethics in Research

Academic Integrity

mLAC-Autonomous mandates research supervisors, guides, and scholars to maintain the highest level of academic integrity. Appraisal of research work - theses, dissertations, publications, and book chapters - must follow the guidelines stipulated by the College and the University Grants Commission (UGC).

The institution agrees to abide by the provisions of the UGC policy on Academic Integrity and Plagiarism Prevention in Higher Educational Institutional Regulations, 2018.

Ethical Guidelines

The college has established an Institutional Animal Ethics Committee (IAEC) for research involving animal subjects. We place a high focus on encouraging scholars to adhere to ethical principles defined by the institution and the UGC.

All research proposals must be reviewed and approved by the IAEC before commencement of research activities.

Plagiarism Prevention

Plagiarism check is mandatory for all research activities, including publication submissions, dissertations, and project proposals. Plagiarism detection software is accessible to faculty and scholars through the library.

Faculty awareness on IPR, patents, and research ethics is maintained through regular workshops, invited talks, and departmental seminars.
