History & Academic Evolution
Established in 1973 with just three students, the Department of Chemistry has experienced remarkable growth and transformation over the decades. Today, it stands as a pillar of scientific inquiry at mLAC, offering a diverse array of programs tailored to contemporary academic and industry needs.
Undergraduate (UG) Combinations:
- PCM: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics
- CBZ: Chemistry, Botany, Zoology
- CBBt: Chemistry, Botany, Biotechnology
- CZBt: Chemistry, Zoology, Biotechnology
Postgraduate (PG) Program:
- 2023–2024: Introduced the M.Sc. in Chemistry with a specialization in Analytical Chemistry.
- 2024–2025: Strategically updated the specialization to Organic Chemistry to better align with current industry demands and advanced academic pathways.
