The Department of Commerce was established in 1983 with the vision of striving towards continuous academic excellence, with a strong emphasis on women empowerment and enhancing students’ prospects for advanced studies and overseas employment. Over the past three decades, the Department has grown significantly and has expanded into diverse areas of academic pursuit, with a current student strength of over 1,000. The Department adopts diverse teaching methodologies to help students develop a wide range of skill sets and social responsibilities, which are essential in Commerce education.
