Workshop on Basics of bioinformatics

Department of Zoology, mLAC organised a workshop on Bio informatics from Feb 5^th to 10^th 2024 10:30 am to 5.00 pm in the bio informatics lab. The topic was in the PG theory paper  syllabus. To give the hands on about the topic to the student, this workshop was organised.  The session started with a brief introduction about Dr.Sushil kumar Middha and Ms.Usha.T DBT-BIF centre mLAC

Dr.Sushil kumar Middha addressed the gathering about theory aspects and importance of Bio informatics,then the Students started to work with the systems provided it was an hands on experience were very excited to know about bio informatics which was something different than there regular one and very much needed for their upcoming research projects.

The workshop was mainly oriented towards understanding the basics of bioinformatics by which they can upgrade their knowledge and compete better in this growing trend.

Later the session was concluded and students were motivated by Principal Dr.Nagalaxmi B N and Vice principal Mrs Sharmistha Dutta.

 Students gave positive feedback about the session and referred it as very informative workshop.
