M.Sc. Zoology students were taken for the institutional visit to Brain and Neuropathology museum. We had requested the institute to organise for a visit so that the students would get an opportunity to ‘Touch and feel’ the brain, and understand brain anatomy and neuropathology in a greater detail with live demonstrations.
. This would surely make students feel excited and encouraged to learn anatomy and physiology topics as they learn these in their theory classes. There was a brief introductory lecture on Brian anatomy and cellular organisation of the CNS. Students were made to interact and their queries were answered during the interaction session.
In the next session, students were split into two groups, and they were given live demonstration of formalin preserved Brian and other soft organs. Students got an opportunity to touch and feel the brain tissue and appreciate the finer anatomical details. The other preserved specimens related to various neuropathology were well exhibited at the museum and students were explained about it.
