• Cultivation and Identification of Microorganisms: Present work involves the frequent analysis of food samples for the occurrence of food spoilage and human pathogenic organisms in them and microscopic, biochemical identification of the isolates.
• Biochemical analysis: chromatographic techniques, enzyme assays, analysis of proximate composition and other nutritional parameters such as antioxidants, vitamin C, phenols, flavanoids, , caretenoids etc.
• Fermentation techniques of fruits and vegetables: Wine and lactic fermentation methods and the quality assessment of the finished produce by biochemical methods.
• Karyotype studies: Different staining techniques, karyotype using Image J software, genome analysis using flow cytometry.
• Statistical interpretation of the results: correlation analysis, ANOVA, graphical representations etc.
