Forging character through service and discipline. Explore the rigorous training, national camps, and leadership opportunities offered by our active NCC units.

Fostering Unity, Discipline, and National Pride

At Maharani Lakshmi Ammanni College for Women (mLAC), we are exceptionally proud of our active National Cadet Corps (NCC) units. Operating under the core motto of "Unity and Discipline," the NCC is a premier youth organization that serves as a vital platform for personal growth, character building, and national integration.

Our institution is privileged to host two highly active wings of the NCC: the Army Wing and the Air Wing. Through a rigorous combination of military-style training, adventure activities, and community service, our cadets are molded into responsible, resilient, and highly motivated citizens. The NCC not only prepares our young women to serve the nation during emergencies but also provides them with the leadership skills required to excel in all walks of life—including opening direct pathways for careers in the Indian Armed Forces.

What It Means to Be a Cadet

Beyond weekly drills, NCC cadets at mLAC are deeply involved in activities that shape their worldview and build unshakeable confidence:

  • National Camps: The ultimate goal for any cadet is to be selected for the prestigious Republic Day Camp (RDC) in New Delhi, a matter of immense institutional pride.
  • Community Service: Our cadets regularly lead massive social impact initiatives, including blood donation drives, Swachh Bharat cleanliness campaigns, election duty assistance (e.g., BWSSB), and anti-drug awareness walks.
  • Certificate Exams: Cadets are rigorously trained to clear the highly coveted NCC 'B' and 'C' Certificate examinations, which offer significant weightage and special entry schemes into the Armed Forces, State Police, and higher education.
